Short Stories

Here, you'll find my short fiction, both original short stories and fanfic. Enjoy! I'm afraid that what I have here at the moment is rather elderly, but new stuff is on the way! As always, feedback is appreciated, and flames will be passed among my friends for amusement before being deleted.

And, of course, do not repost these without my express permission. I've already had problems with that. Thank goodness most web providers have a copyright-violation clause in their Terms of Service.

Original Fiction

NightChild ?/98	This short won third place in Occidental College's 1998 Argonaut Fiction Competition, and is set in a world of my own creation. (PG, mild language and violence)
The Perils of Writing, Part 1 1/00	This started out as just a vignette, but grew. This is the first piece of my fiction I've been paid for! (PG, mild language)
The Bar 2/00	Another vignette, set in the same universe as "NightChild." (PG, violence)
Jaspa Spring '00	A tale of Jaspa, sorceress-in-training, highwaywoman, and ... assistant librarian? Well, sort of. This started as a quick scene, but grew into more when I resurrected it for my Creative Writing class.
All in a Night's Work Autumn '02	A second tale of Jaspa, this time about a semi-typical night in her life. A renegade senior student, a pissed off vampire, and the Old Gods make for an unpleasant mix for the sorceress-in-training. This won the Adult Prose section of San Jose Metaphysical Bookshop's first annual Magical Writing Contest!

This is a work of fanfiction set in the Dracula: The Series universe. Laura of Lucard's Homepage calls it "...delightfully fresh and interesting.
