I survived! So yesterday I

I survived!
So yesterday I subbed again. With no car. My car is in the shop with a cracked gasket or something, and I won’t get it back until Tuesday. Oh, and it needs a new transmission as well as a new carburator.
Mom and I are going to look at cars this afternoon, I think.
Anyway, last night, as a reward for surviving this hellacious week, I went to a LotR CCG tournament, and did pretty darn well, considering I was using a pure Hobbit deck (for the uninitiated, this is an exercise in masochism – after about site 5, hobbits are REALLY vulnerable). I won three of the five games, and lost two. One of the wins was really brutal – I killed off a guy’s Frodo at site 5. Go me! Hobbits and Nazgul are a good combo – the Nazgul slow down my opponents enough to give my Hobbits a chance. I don’t usually win by completing the adventure path, mind you, but I do win sometimes.
So I didn’t win the tournament, but I did get high enough in the standings that I played the guy who DID win. He smacked me around hardcore – killed half my fellowship in my first turn.
*sigh* I did get a couple good trades, though. Got a second copy of the Witch-King’s sword, in my first ever trade-for-something-I-already-have. This will make my deck even NASTIER! YES! Also, I got a second copy of the Rare version of the One Ring, which will be useful in trading, I suspect. Yay.
Now I just have to update my card list….
