Whoa.
Long coupla days.
I saw… let me think… seven films this weekend! DAMN! The rundown:
- Arsenic and Old Lace – Well, you read already what I think about this one.
- The Forbidden Zone – Officially the weirdest film I’ve ever seen. Sort of Plan 9 From Outer Space meets absurdist theatre on the way to The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
- Rose Red – miniseries about a haunted house, very good. Julian Sands manages to be absolutely gorgeous in spite of a hideous haircut and mediocre makeup and outfitting.
- How to get Ahead in Advertising – hilarious film starring the wondrous Richard E. Grant. Boil grows head, takes over man’s body.
- The Boondock Saints – I don’t know where to start with this film. Wonderfully hilarious/dramatic/violent/whatever. Willem Dafoe is in it, so it gets automatic points, but I’d love it even if he weren’t around. The DVD just came out today, yay!
- Office Space – hysterical film about cubicle life. Loved it. Made me remember why I went freelance.
- Star Wars: Attack of the Clones – you already read about what I think of this.
I’ll be editing this entry later with blurbs on each of those, and links too, so check back.
