Went to Neil’s reading of Coraline last night. Oh, my Gods, what an evening! Lots of stress getting there, which I attribute only in part to the people who were driving me. We managed to get great seats and beautifully autographed copies with no hassle once we finally got there, which was amazing.
He drew rats in all the books. All 1100 of ’em. How amazing is that? Neil Gaiman just ROCKS.
Coraline is a beautiful book, spooky as hell. Wonderful. I look forward to reading it to small children some day and watching them cheer for the little girl who saves her parents.
