Thursday Thumbtwiddler
1. You’re driving late at night through a deserted but safe neighborhood. Suddenly, a dog darts out in front of your car and you hit it. Do you stop to see how injured it is? If you found it was dead, and had a tag with the owner’s address and phone number, what would you do?
Yes, I’d stop. And I’d call or write the owner to notify/apologize/pay.
2. Your job makes you privy to the fact that your company is illegally dumping toxic material. An anonymous tip to the authorities isn’t likely to produce any results. Do you risk your job by publicly bringing your firm’s crimes to the attention of the authorities?
Hell yes. I mean, I’d be planning to quit anyway. I have principles.
3. If you were sent on assignment to rate the ten best small towns in America, what particular criteria would be the most important to you?
Hm… good one. Good schools, tolerant city government (no spastic fundies in power), good music scene (even if it’s via importation at a local festival or something), clean streets.
Friday Five
1. What are your favorite ways to relax and unwind?
Hm… chill on the couch with a good movie. Hop online and read people’s blogs.
2. What do you do the moment you get home from work/school/errands?
Turn on the computer, log on, check email.
3. What are your favorite aromatherapeutic smells?
Dad baking cookies. Vanilla. Those black “Night Magic” votives that they ONLY sell around Halloween. I bought like a case of them last year so now I’m set. :)
4. Do you feel more relaxed with a group of friends or hanging out by yourself?
Depends. Sometimes, with friends. Other times, by myself. I think it’s a hormonal thing.
5. What is something that you feel is relaxing but most people don’t
Well… depends on what you mean by relaxing. When I’m stressed out, I don’t want to kick back and read, I want to go see an action flick. I don’t RELAX exactly, but it gets me calmer. When I come out of the flick, I’m in a MUCH better mood. I also like to go out with friends, have a drink or two and boogie to a good band.
