Girls ROCK!

Saw Garbage and No Doubt in concert at the arena last night. They rocked! The sound wasn’t very good (look, Mr. Soundperson, just because you’re deaf doesn’t mean I want to be! There’s more to doing sound tech than cranking everything all the way up! DAYUMM!) but the rest of it was great.
Garbage were kind of given short shrift, though – No Doubt had a big projection screen behind them and used the thrust section of the stage and stuff, but Garbage just did a traditional rock show kinda thing. That was a drag, as Shirley was wearing a really funky outfit and it would have been nice to see it blown up on the projection screen. We were so far away that we couldn’t see any details.
Anyway, it was a lot of fun. Both bands did a lot of older material and generally rocked the house.
