Oh, yeah…

I saw Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets this weekend. Opening night, in fact. It wasn’t horrible, but my GOD it had insane pacing. It’s like they took all the miniclimaxes from the book and shoved them in the movie without the resting bits in between.
But. Oh my GOD, Snape! He was woefully underused, but every scene was a little snippet of joy. And the duelling club scene… pure bliss! Not only does he totally kick buttinsky in that sequence but we get to see him without that huge cloak on! Hot diggety!
But the coolest part: the new Two Towers preview was in front of the movie!!! It was way cool, with new footage of Merry and Pippin and everything. I’m all excited, man, you have no idea.
