Busybusybusy is me!

So first I had Cinequest to take up my time (not to mention my Cineblog for reviews). Thanks to that, I never managed to get a birthday party put together (I’m 26 now for those who are keeping count).
Now, just when I thought I would have free time, four things are hacking that to bits.

1. I’m still working on self-syndicating my reviews.
2. I landed a writing gig with the City of Milpitas, doing a newsletter.
3. I landed a small tech writing contract with the startup the bf works for.
4. I’m going to move out!

I think that last one is probably going to wind up being the most time consuming of the lot. I’ve lived in this house with my parents for 23 years (barring time away at college), and boy does it show. I have so much accumulated stuff that I suspect sorting through it and figuring out what to take and what to pitch is going to be a nightmare. Thankfully, I have until June 1 to do it all – that’s when I’m officially moving.
For the curious, I’m going to be sharing a house with my good friend Kay. The bedroom is two feet longer and two feet wider than my current bedroom, and there’s a nifty kitchen, den area (which also serves as the dining room) and living room I’ll have privileges in. It’ll be so cool! I’m gonna be doing a fair bit of gardening – which should be interesting as the back yard is really shady. Somehow gardening at home seems like a chore but gardening at My First Real Place To Rent seems like a grand adventure.
I predict I shall rue the day I started telling Kay about all my plans for a herb garden in the front and a shade garden in the back. ;)
But in the meantime, I’m still gonna be busy… but hopefully posting here more than I was during Cinequest! :)
