Yes, it’s true. I have given in to peer pressure and signed up over at NationStates.net. Go check it out.
The game is really interesting from a sort of… Sims point of view, I guess. The idea is, you own the country and cna decide how things are dealt with. Every day you et one or more issues to resolve – things like… should you ban Harry Potter books or fund schools who want to buy them? That kind of thing.
I’m running my nation the way I run my classroom when I’m subbing at the local middle school: it’s a semi-benevolent dictatorship. Heh.
I don’t know how long it will hold my interest but for now I am highly amused by it. It’s not as action-oriented as UnWeb, alas, but it’s still nifty.
